About Us

19,701 dogs and cats were euthanized in Chicago in 2006.

Our city’s tragic pet overpopulation problem needs your attention. Not everyone is a “cat person”. I know that. However, whether you are an animal-lover or not, there is still a responsibility to act in a humane fashion. There are lots of animals outside suffering. We are trying to make a difference by getting the young ones into homes or shelters and stop the feral ones from breeding.

We are volunteers performing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Alley Cat Allies, the national feral cat resource group, defines Trap-Neuter-Return as “a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers.” HELP Reduce Cat Populations with Trap-Neuter-Return. Please don’t let cats keep breeding!

In the posts to follow you will see some of the kitties we have trapped. Some have been returned to alleys (after sterilization and vaccinations) but a few have found loving homes. MANY still need homes! Please contact us if you are interested in adopting any of the available kitties. You can also help by making a donation with the button below. 100% of your donation will be used for food, supplies, veterinary services and gas. Any unused cat food that is not spoiled (expired dry is OK), we could use that, too! Thanks for stopping by!
